Little Palestine: Diary of a Siege
During the course of the civil war in Syria, the neighborhood of Yarmouk, which was already home to thousands of Palestinians, became the setting for intense and bloody warfare. A video titled "Little Palestine (Diary of a Siege)" depicts the fate of civilians during the horrific sieges that were imposed by the Syrian regime in the wake of the fights that took place in Syria. These sieges took place in the aftermath of the fighting. Abdallah Al-Khatib uses his camera to construct a love song to a place that defiantly rejects the tragedies of war.
