Unbearably long delays in bringing their daughter's death to trial as a result of a drunken driver have outraged and frustrated the bereaved family who lost their daughter in a car accident. Once in the courtroom, they are horrified to discover that the young, understaffed district attorney appears unable to overcome the technicalities and maneuvers that the driver's attorney employs to keep his client out of jail and still operating a legal vehicle. When the judge is forced to find in favor of the defense time and time again, it appears that the motorist may be able to avoid prosecution entirely.
