Libeled Lady
Connie Allenbury, a wealthy socialite, files a multi-million dollar libel lawsuit against a major newspaper after the publication falsely accuses her of being a home-wrecker. The beleaguered head editor of the publication, Warren Haggerty, is forced to devise a strategy that will allow him to turn the tables on Connie Allenbury. Soon enough, Haggerty's stressed fiancée, Gladys Benton, and his dashing friend, Bill Chandler, are involved in a conspiracy that tries to discredit Connie, with humorous and surprising results.
