Lemon Tree
The plantation of lemon trees that Salma Zidane tends in the occupied zone of the West Bank provides the sole source of income for her poor lifestyle. As a result of the Israeli defense minister and his wife moving home next door, the Secret Service was forced to order the destruction of the trees for reasons of security. The unflappable Salma approaches the Palestinian Authority, the Israeli army, and a young attorney named Ziad Daud, who agrees to represent her in the case. How strong of an advantage does David have over Goliath in this allegory?
