La Promesse
Igor, 15, and his father Roger operate in the outer suburbs of Liege, Belgium, dealing in housing and unlawful labor. Their lives are ruled by scams, falsehoods, and swindling. Igor finds himself at a crossroads when one of his father's illegal workers is hurt on the job and asks Igor to vow to look after his wife and infant. He desires to uphold the pledge, but at the cost of betrayal to his father.
