King of Beggars
General So, the illiterate Canton General, promotes a sex-and-money lifestyle. Ses loyal followers include his spoiled and illiterate son Chan (Stephen Chow). Chan goes to Peking to take the Martial Arts Scholar national exams for a woman. Chan wins the physical test, but he's caught cheating on the written exam and is disqualified. Chan is made a beggar by the Emperor. It takes some mystic guidance for Chan to adjust to his new job as Beggar King. Chan rescues the Emperor and gets respect for the beggars by leading this motley troop against an evil warlord in the Emperor's company.
