The most crucial game of the season kicks off Kicking Off. Wigsy and Cliff, two devoted supporters, watch with bated breath as their football team scores the game-winning goal that saves them from relegation. As a chorus of ecstatic supporters chants and cries, victory is pleasure. However, as the referee disallows the game-winning goal, the flurry of joy rapidly becomes ugly. The supporters take matters into their own hands, with their hearts and fists pumping, adrenaline coursing through their veins, and rage racing through their veins, and Cliff makes the fatal mistake of planning while inebriated. Wigsy, a complete moron, carries out the plan and, in the dead of night, commits a crime that would result in turmoil and disaster for him and his best friend Cliff. Split screen views and slow motion montages are used to great effect in Kicking Off. The protagonists are adorable thugs who will make you laugh and cringe at their lack of common sense. The once-beautiful game has now devolved into an abomination.
