Rick and Reni arrived in California in hopes of a fresh start. Regrettably, all they discovered was each other... In a last-ditch effort to rescue their failing relationship, the pair twists their couples counseling treatment into a storyline that sees them reverting to their Texas low-life beginnings as petty crooks. Rick and Reni's amateurish plan to rob a dive bar goes horribly wrong, as it has throughout their calamity-plagued relationship. Rick and Reni begin to question not only if they'll survive the day, but if they can survive each other when a diverse cast of bar guests becomes entangled in their failed plot.
