A spy thriller set in the Cold War era about a man who, although being a part of the communist system himself, is the only one who dares to defy the Soviets. He discovers, while planning Warsaw Pact maneuvers, that the American plans for a nuclear counterattack against Soviet forces are to be carried out on Polish territory. As a result of his commitment, he begins a lengthy, lonely, and psychologically draining collaboration with the CIA. From that point forward, his and his family's lives are in jeopardy, as one negligent act can result in disaster.
