Polly Vandersma is a "organizationally handicapped" temporary assistant who, at the age of 31, lands her first permanent job. She is socially awkward, introverted, and hilariously humorous. Polly narrates her own story when she is working for the curator of an art gallery. She discusses the absurd and bittersweet pretensions that are prevalent in the art world. During the same time, she reveals a special portion of her own inner world, transporting the audience to charmed places as part of her stealthy assault on the concept of power everywhere.
