Jesse, a New Yorker, goes to a tiny village to live with her widowed mother-in-law after her father-in-death law's and divorce. To put it mildly, Jesse struggles to blend in with the locals. Jesse meets the local pastor, her widower brother-in-law, and falls in love with him, much to the community's dismay. Even more problematic when her ex-husband calls, ostensibly to win her back. Jesse's love life and intertwined in-laws stress her as she searches for her true home.
