Hot Property is a (un)romantic comedy about love, greed, and real estate brokers that is set in the present day. Melody Munro is a corporate snoop who has a major problem: she is spending everything she has, as well as a few things she doesn't have, on her extravagant lifestyle. Nevertheless, when she is discovered to have embezzled money from her firm, she is immediately sacked. She doesn't have a car, she doesn't have credit cards, and she can't even purchase Nespresso capsules anymore. As the final straw, her (now ex-) friend and landlord contacts her and requests that she be evicted. She is not going to take much more. The home of Melody will be defended at all costs, she says. A lunatic estate agent and a slew of hipster tenants are among those she confronts with the use of her spying skills.
