After being wrongfully kicked out of Harvard University, American Matt Buckner runs away to his sister's home in England. Once he gets there, her charming and dangerous brother-in-law, Pete Dunham, befriends him and introduces him to the underworld of British football hooliganism. Matt learns to stand up for himself through a friendship that grows against the backdrop of this secret and often violent world.
