"FLOWERS" tells the story of six women whose lives span three generations and are interwoven throughout the film (from the Show period all the way through to the present day). Beginning in the 1930s, Rin (Yu Aoi) is concerned about her planned marriage, which her parents had prepared for her. Rin eventually has three daughters: Kaoru (Yuko Takeuchi), who tragically loses her husband in a car accident, Midori (Rena Tanaka), who is a successful businesswoman who is shaken by a marriage proposal, and Sato (Yuko Takeuchi), the youngest kid (Yukie Nakama). Sato has two children in the 1960s: Kanna (Kyoka Suzuki) and Kei (Kyoka Suzuki) (Ryoko Hirosue). Kanna is now concerned about the prospect of becoming a single mother in the future. The lives of these women are depicted in a beautiful and graceful manner.
