William "D-Fens" Foster is attempting to visit his estranged ex-home wife's on the day of his daughter's birthday. When his car breaks down in Los Angeles, he decides to walk instead of driving. He goes to a convenience store to acquire some change for a phone call, but the Korean proprietor refuses, causing Foster to lose control. Foster, who is mentally ill, becomes enraged by the problems he sees in society and begins to act psychotically and brutally against them.
