Edgar Allen Poe's Ligeia
During his phantasmagorical courtship with a mysterious Soprano known only as Ligeia, a young artist who has been imprisoned under the trammels of opium addiction is brought back to life. While delving into these opium-induced memories, the lines between reality and fiction, memory and hallucination, begin to blur, creating an indecipherable maze of obsession and sorrow for the characters to navigate. The haunting of Ligeia's memories, as well as the spirits of Azrael and Nehushtan, continue to torture his mind and soul even after he finds a new love in the form of the Lady Rowena who nurses him back to health.
