Divorce Italian Style

Ferdinando Cefalù wants to marry his cousin Angela, but he is already married to Rosalia, and in Italy, it is against the law to get a divorce. To get around the law, he tries to trick his wife into having an affair so he can catch her and kill her. He does this because he knows that killing an adulterous woman would get him a lighter sentence. He talks a painter into having an affair with his wife, but Rosalia is more faithful than he thought.
