Jessica and Breanne are Alex's roommates at college and she's back after the summer break. After a night of drinking, Alex agrees to a psychic reading to learn more about her future with her boyfriend, Brian, but something goes terribly wrong during the reading. It is the next day that Alex wakes up and has no recollection of the events of the previous night. She starts hearing strange noises, has hallucinations, blacks out, and has scratch marks all over her body that she can't identify. Anxious to seek support from her friends who can understand the depth of the darkness closing in on her, she turns to friends Jessica, Breanne, and Brian for assistance. Instead, Alex gets support from a school professor and his father, both of whom have dealt with the supernatural on previous occasions.
