A very uptight young woman, Eva Dandridge meddles in the affairs of her sisters and their husbands on a regular basis. When Eva's in-laws become tired of her meddling in their affairs, they devise a plan to pair up Eva with someone so she can leave them in peace. They end up paying Ray, a local "playboy," $5,000 to date her, which is a big mistake. The plan goes off without a hitch, but things get complicated when Ray finds himself falling in love with Eva.
