Hitler's Germany is in ruins, but it will not surrender. The Second World War is entering its final phase. In order to gain important information about German units operating on the other side of the Rhine, the US army sent two German prisoners of war to obtain this data. However, the plan is fraught with danger because the Gestapo still maintains a highly effective network for identifying and apprehending spies and deserters. Furthermore, it is not obvious whether "Tiger," who is unconcerned with dirty job as long as the price is appropriate, and war-weary "Happy," who may be easily betrayed by his emotions, are trustworthy agents for the government. In Bavaria, Happy is parachuted in after Tiger and another American agent have successfully infiltrated the organization. A formidable German armored battalion marching towards the western front is on the run, and it is up to him to track it down.
