Dark Blood

Dark Blood, a 1993 film that was never completed due to River Phoenix's death, tells the story of Boy, a young widower living on a nuclear testing site in the desert. Waiting for the end of the world, a boy carves Katchina dolls with alleged magical powers. Boy's solitude is broken when a Hollywood jet-set couple on their way across the desert becomes stranded when their car breaks down. Boy saves the couple and imprisons them because of his love for the woman and desire to make the world a better place with her.
