Roseanne is the target of fellow student Vincent's romantic feelings while they are both in school. During the night, she has to deal with her terrible family life, which includes the fact that her mother, Maggie, is unfaithful to her drunken husband, Fred. When it is discovered that Maggie has been having an affair, Fred takes his rage out on Roseanne, who is his stepdaughter.
