Will Vinton, a contemporary Walt Disney, took a clump of clay in his hand and immediately recognized its limitless possibilities. During the 1980s and 1990s, Vinton brought about a paradigm shift in the animation industry, earning him the title of "Father of Claymation." Will Vinton had meticulously constructed the American dream, but after 30 years of being an unappreciated king of clay, it all came tumbling down. The film traces the birth and fall of the Will Vinton Studios, which won both the Academy Award and the Emmy Award. The film is structured around interviews with the dynamic pioneer who founded the studio as well as his close collaborators.
