After eight years in prison, an ex-convicted felon named "Marcus Julian" returns to an impoverished community in Chicago, Illinois. Marcus, a product of a failed family structure, operated under a "street-code" of savagery, as did many others in his community. The territories were ruled by the "Gangster Disciples," and as a former outstanding member, he lived in perpetual regret for the mob-related acts that landed him in prison.
