Jing (Kwai Lun-Mei) was paralyzed as a child and now lives a tranquil life as a piano teacher. She accuses her doctor Zhou (Chang Chen) of sexually assaulting her during a routine medical examination one day. Zhou is apprehended, charged, and brought to trial without delay. Tim (Aaron Kwok) is the prosecutor in the case. He is an idealistic lawyer who entered the legal profession in order to punish the guilty. However, as Tim's investigator Nam (Liu Kai Chi) assists him in piecing together the puzzle, the case grows more complicated. Tim quickly begins to doubt Jing's story's veracity.
