Butch Cassidy is the charismatic, intelligent, and chatty leader of the outlaw Hole in the Wall Gang in the late 1890s in the state of Wyoming. His closest friend is a stoic assassin who goes by the name "Sundance Kid." Butch, Sundance, and the rest of their gang are finally apprehended by the law as the Wild West is rapidly becoming more civilized.
