Bob le Flambeur
For many in Paris, Bob Montagne is virtually associated with gambling — and with winning money. Everyone in the town, including police inspector Ledru, admires and respects him for his kindness, elegance, and good nature. When Bob's luck runs out, he starts to lose friends and takes the most desperate risk of his life: robbing the Deauville casino during Grand Prix weekend, when the vaults are full. Unfortunately, Bob quickly discovers that the game has been rigged and that the authorities are on to him.
