Between Midnight and Dawn

Rocky and Dan, two old comrades from the war, are now patrol car officers working the night shift together. While Rocky has a more forgiving attitude toward those who break the law, Dan is a pessimist who considers all lawbreakers to be scum. Both of them are drawn to the communicator Kate Mallory's voice over the radio, but when they meet her in person, they find that she is hesitant to get involved with men who could potentially save their lives. Because of a stroke of good luck, Rocky and Dan are able to cause a significant amount of trouble for the ruthless racketeer Ritchie Garris. However, when Garris pledges vengeance, it is possible that Kate's concerns will be realized.
