Banana is played by Bud Spencer. Joe, a strong yet pleasant man who lives in a small rainforest town named Amantido with a large number of his own children and brings bananas to a South American river port on a regular basis, is a character in the film (hence his name). On one occasion, the henchmen of a local gangster boss named Torsillo arrive on the shores of Amantido with the intention of starting the building of a banana processing factory there. Without a doubt, Joe evicts the goons (in his trademark direct-approach manner), who immediately return to their master. Joe is trading bananas without a license, and when Torsillo discovers this, he decides to take advantage of the situation. Joe is apprehended by the authorities on his next delivery and offered the option of either obtaining a legal license or having his boat impounded and him arrested for unlawful transport. Joe chooses the latter. Joe leaves the rainforest and journeys to the next city, which is a completely different world to him because he grew up in the rainforest.
