The city is being plagued by an unexplained disease. Eva and Sam, an estranged married couple, are compelled to shut themselves in their apartment in order to avoid being contaminated, despite the tangible hostility that now exists between them. They are now forced to live in isolation in their cramped quarters, where they must contend with their own fragility in a world that can only deliver the most horrific horrors imaginable.
