Eugene and Rick are two poor artists who live together in a small studio apartment. This presents difficulties for Rick because Eugene is infatuated with pulp fiction comic books and suffers from nightmares as a result of this obsession. Rick eventually discovers that the dreams he's been having could make him wonderful content for his own comic book series.
