Arc is set in the heart of Los Angeles' criminal underworld and follows Paris Pritchert, a former police officer turned heroin dealer and addict, as he begins on a quest to locate a missing child in the goal of rehabilitating his crumbling character. The issue is that, like all addicts, Paris' confidence is entirely dependent on the narcotics in his system and, in this case, his absolute belief that he can achieve his task if he can just stay high and alive long enough to see it through. Paris enlists the assistance of Maya Gibbs, an African American prostitute who is fluent not only in street slang but also in the works of Maya Angelou and Nadine Gordimer. And together, this dysfunctional duo crosses paths with the child's parents, a doctor with a penchant for soliciting "Street Boys," a self-proclaimed King Of Porn, a drug supplier with an uncanny ability to prepare impeccably presented hors d'oeuvres, and a hardened cop with more scams than the most seasoned street hustler.
