Derek Vineyard was released from prison after serving three years for shooting two thieves who attempted to break into or steal his truck. As narrated by Derek's brother, Danny Vineyard, we learn that Derek was an extremist skinhead and leader of an L.A.-based white supremacist gang that perpetrated acts of racial violence before he was imprisoned. When Derek is released from prison, he severs ties with the gang and vows to prevent Danny from following in his footsteps.
