As of today, Wallace and Gromit have opened a bakery as their first-ever venture together. The news that 12 local bakers had 'disappeared' this year has alarmed Gromit, but Wallace is unfazed by the situation. The local beauty and bread aficionado, Piella Bakewell, has him too preoccupied and in love for him to be much use. Gromit is going to have to play the role of the detective and figure out who killed Wallace.
