A Kiss Before Dying

Jonathan Corliss, a college student, is obsessed with the concept of becoming wealthy, and he begins an affair in secret with Dorothy Carlsson in order to win her affluent father's approval. Jonathan kills Dorothy after she reveals to him that she is expecting a child and that her father will cut her off financially if he finds out. However, he makes it appear as though she took her own life by staging her death. Ellen, Dorothy's twin sister, is the one who is looking into what appears to be a suicide while Jonathan is working his way onto Mr. Carlsson's payroll.
