Edmond Vidal, aka Momon, has kept a sense of family, unshakeable loyalty, and pride in his origins despite growing up in an impoverished gypsy camp. Most importantly, he has maintained friendships with Serge Suttel, with whom he first experienced prison life-for cherry theft. Eventually, the two of them were drawn into organized crime. The Ganf Des Lyonnais, the group they created, were the most prominent armed thieves of the early 1970s. Their meteoric career came to an end in 1974 with a dramatic arrest. Momon would like to forget about that period of his life as he approaches 60. He has found peace after leaving the "industry." He looks after his wife Janou, who has suffered greatly in the past, as well as his children and grandchildren, all of whom admire this guy of basic and universal ideals, who is calm and gentle. But suddenly Serge Suttel reappears, having claimed no responsibility for his history.
