Maya, the first black Director of Public Prosecutions, is profiled in this documentary. She learns that her husband Nick has been lying to her for years, just as she is set to take up the role and her life is thrust into the spotlight. Nick was a daring and devoted undercover detective twenty years ago, infiltrating organizations that were deemed a threat to society due to their political ideals. Nick created a false past, and now that his wife is unaware and his conscience is killing him, his hidden identity could jeopardize the incoming Director of Public Prosecutions.
