In 2009, Singaporean Chinese drama Together was released. It aired on MediaCorp Channel 8, Singapore's public television station. The Media Development Authority of Singapore funded the 46th anniversary year-end blockbuster drama produced by MediaCorp. It premiered on November30,2009, and finished on January18, 2010. This drama series has 36 episodes and was broadcast every weeknight at 9:00 p.m. The writer and certain cast members from The Little Nyonya, a 2008 MediaCorp production that went on to become the highest-rated Singaporean TV series in 15 years, were also used in the series. The title of the series also references to the children's folk song "The More We Get Together," which is used in the intermission and the theme song's opening.
