Princess Feng Xin Er, who would later become Li Wei Young, was the third daughter of the proud royalty of the Northern Wei Dynasty when she was born. Xin Er is a wonderful person who has a brilliant mind and a good heart, but she was born on a day that is considered to be unlucky. Because of this, she has never received the full adoration of her family. The kingdom of Xin Er is obliterated in a single tragic night during a slaughter that is comparable to very few others. Xin Er manages to escape with her life, but she is now an orphan when she wanders into enemy territory by accident. There, she takes on the persona of Li Wei Young, the daughter of a tutor who had previously rescued her. Wei Young has a difficult time fitting in since she is rather haughty and she harbors a deep animosity for the enemy that was responsible for the destruction of her country. She also does not possess the traditional feminine graces that were required of women during her period. But in the end, because she is both wise and kind at heart, she discovers how to direct her anger toward people who are deserving of it, and she matures into a more charitable person as a result. And it is precisely her intelligence and humanity that pulls her to two guys who couldn't be more different from one another. Wei Young is the object of affection for Tuoba Jun, who is a beloved, well-educated, and gentle prince who is favored by all, including the king, and who falls in love with Wei Young. And battling against him is his younger brother, Tuoba Yu, who is icy, intimidating, and emotionally scarred. He has a deep-seated desire to dominate the empire, and he views his more experienced sibling, Wei Young, as his instrument in this endeavor. Tuoba Yu sees his older sibling as his opponent. However, Wei Young is only focused on one thing at the moment, and that is the fact that she was unable to help her people. Wei Young is currently residing in territory controlled by her enemies, therefore it is unclear whether she would ever be able to get revenge for her kingdom.
