The Guild

The Guild was developed and written by Felicia Day, who plays Cyd Sherman. It debuted on YouTube on 7/27/07. Seasons two through five webisodes debuted on Xbox Live, Zune, and MSN Video. Webisodes were then posted on Guild's website, YouTube, and iTunes. Microsoft's business model changed after season five, thus Day shifted episode premieres to Geek & Sundry. The webisodes are on DVD, Hulu, and Netflix. The show follows a gaming guild, The Knights of Good, as they play a fantasy MMORPG called The Game. The plot follows Codex, the guild's Priestess, who tries to lead a normal life after Warlock Zaboo comes up at her door. Joss Whedon says The Guild inspired Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, which starred Felicia Day. The sixth season premiered on October2, 2012. In a phone interview following the sixth season, Felicia Day said The Guild is over.
