Since June 15, 2011, Investigation Discovery has aired a documentary and news program titled "The Devil You Know." In the summer of 2011, it was one of five new criminal documentary television shows that ID aired. Rather than focusing on the lives of law-abiding civilians, the show investigates the dark secrets of those who pretend to be good people while harboring heinous intentions toward the people they care about. The show features interviews with the victims' loved ones and friends, as well as first-person tales of what it's like to be a victim of these criminals. Make Believe Media, a Vancouver-based documentary film company, is behind the production of The Devil You Know.
