When Yoon Jung Sook is born, Kwon Hyuk Joon's grandpa, the head of the traditional Kwon family, agrees to an arranged marriage between his grandson, Hyuk Joon, and Yoon Jung Sook. The two families eventually lose contact when Jung Sook's family runs into financial difficulties shortly after the contract is signed, forcing them to flee. Jung Sook has matured into a defiant and strong-willed young woman who simply wants to live her life her own. She is the direct counterpoint to her achievement-obsessed counterpart, Hyuk Joon. When the two meet again, they have a terrible fight; Jung Sook feels her fiancee is uninteresting, while Hyuk Joon thinks Jung Sook is an immature child. Regardless, they marry. The story that follows is about their new existence as a couple, as well as the challenges they endure.
