Survivorman
Survivorman is a Canadian-produced television show that airs in Canada on the Outdoor Life Network and internationally on Discovery Channel and Science Channel. The show aired three seasons and four specials in 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2012. The title refers to the show's host, Canadian filmmaker and survival expert Les Stroud, who uses survival skills and knowledge to survive for up to ten days alone in isolated locations with little or no food, water, or equipment. According to the show's website, Stroud and his team investigated and planned each location meticulously, consulting with survival specialists and inhabitants of each place. The fact that Stroud spent his time alone, without the assistance of a production staff, is a prominent theme of the show.
