Sons of Tucson is a family comedy about three brothers who employ a charming, wayward schemer to be their father. What starts as a professional connection evolves into a unique family. Three brothers find their dad-for-hire at a sports goods store. Ron will need many skills and methods to care for the Gunderson lads as patriarch. Robby Gunderson, 8, is a loose cannon who doesn't respond well to authority; Gary Gunderson, 11, is a street-savvy leader who's just like his father; and Brandon Gunderson, 13, is a sweet free spirit who goes along for the ride. Maggie Morales (Natalie Martinez), Robby's second-grade teacher and Ron's crush, may be the only constant in their life. Sons of Tucson is set in a single-parent home, but nothing is as it seems. Ron and the guys are playing chess, and neither side can afford to give up too much power or independence.
