Allison "Sonny" Munroe moves from the Midwest to Los Angeles to join the cast of "So Random!," the most popular sketch comedy TV show for youngsters and tweens. Tawni, the local teen queen, Nico, the gregarious funnyman Grady, and the quirky Zora are among her co-stars. Sonny must now strike a balance between these new pals and her family's drastically different way of life in Hollywood. Meanwhile, Sonny must struggle with heartthrob Chad Dylan Cooper, star of the competing show "MacKenzie Falls," who declares that his dramatic work is superior to her comic profession.
