Since 3 May 1991 until 14 October 1994 Second Thoughts was a British sitcom. It aired on ITV and was produced by LWT. Faith in the future was the sequel. Thoughts followed the lives of Bill MacGregor and Faith Greyshott, two middle-aged divorcees from quite different backgrounds, as they struggled to find love in spite of the many obstacles they faced. It was inspired by the real-life connection between Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie, the authors of Second Thoughts. Between November 1st,1988, and July 23rd,1992, it was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 as a radio series. There were four seasons and a Christmas special that aired in1992, totaling 31 episodes for the radio series In the ITV series, the radio scripts were used. A lot of people thought the fifth season was inferior than the previous four because it didn't follow the original radio scripts. However, Second Thoughts aired on ITV3 until its final episode on October14, 1994. BBC7 frequently rebroadcasts the original radio series.
