Red Oaks
A college student is having one last hurrah before the summer comes to a close and the future begins in this coming-of-age comedy that is set in the "go-go" 1980s and is equal parts hilarious shenanigans and heartwarming storytelling. David Myers, who worked as an assistant tennis pro at the Red Oaks Country Club in a suburb of New Jersey in the year 1985, is still reeling from the news that his father had suffered a heart attack at the same time that he is struggling to decide what academic concentration he will pursue in the upcoming school year. While he is there, he encounters a diverse ensemble of eccentric co-workers and affluent club members, including a captivating art student by the name of Skye and her father, Getty, who is a corporate raider.
