Payne
Payne is a television show based on the British comedy Fawlty Towers. It starred John Larroquette, who played assistant district attorney Dan Fielding on the American TV show Night Court. Larroquette also served as the show's executive producer. Payne debuted on CBS in March and April 1999 as a mid-season replacement. JoBeth Williams, Julie Benz, and Rick Batalla also made appearances on the show. Despite favorable reviews and the support of John Cleese, who agreed to reprise his role if the program was renewed, Payne was shortly canceled. There were nine episodes shot, and eight of them were broadcast. There is no DVD of the show.
