Nisekoi is about high school students Raku Ichijo and Chitoge Kirisaki. Raku is the son of a leader in the yakuza group Shuei-Gumi, and Chitoge is the daughter of a boss in a rival gang called Beehive. When Chitoge jumps a wall and knees Raku in the face, they meet by accident. After she leaves, Raku realizes he has lost the locket his childhood sweetheart gave him and with whom he made a secret promise. When he finds out that Chitoge is a new student in his class, he makes her help him look for the locket. As they look for him, they start to dislike each other. [8] When Raku gets back home, he finds out that the Shuei-Gumi and Beehive gangs have agreed to end their fight by putting together the children of their leaders. Raku finds out that the girl he's going to marry is Chitoge. To keep the peace between the gangs for the next three years, they have to act like they are together. This is hard to do, not only because they hate each other, but also because Raku has a crush on another student, Kosaki Onodera, and secretly wishes she was the girl who holds the key to his locket. The situation is made more complicated by Chitoge's overprotective bodyguard, a female hitwoman, a girl who says she is Raku's fiancee, and the fact that there are more than one key.
