Moonlighting
From March3, 1985 through May14,1989, ABC broadcast the American drama series Moonlighting. It broadcast 66 episodes in total. Comedy-drama, or "dramedy," became an unique television genre when the show starred Bruce Willis as private detective Cybill Shepherd. A jazz singer, Al Jarreau, sang the show's theme song, and it became a big hit. Even though Willis became an overnight sensation, the show also helped Shepherd emerge as an award-winning actor following several underwhelming productions. According to TV Guide's list of the 100 greatest episodes of all time, "The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice" was ranked number 34. In2007, Time magazine named the series one of the "100 Greatest TV Shows of All Time." In TV Guide's list of the greatest TV couples of all time, David and Maddie were included.
